At Lucy & Yak, we do Black Friday a little differently. Since 2017, we’ve chosen to donate our profits from the busiest shopping weekend of the year to the Fior Di Loto Foundation in India.

It’s been six months since our last Black Friday campaign, and we wanted to show you the impact your support has had. Because of this community, the foundation continues to provide education, healthcare, and independence to women, girls and the local community in Rajasthan.

Currently, 571 girls are enrolled in the foundation's school. For these students, the foundation provides a completely holistic environment so they can focus on their future. This includes:

Our teams headed out to visit the school in October 2025 where they got to know the teachers and students, while sitting in on some of their lessons which include: Hindi, maths, environmental science, English, Sanskrit, computer science.

In January 2026, the foundation launched a brand-new Sewing Skills Camp. This program invites local women to the school to master the art of tailoring. By learning these professional skills, they can start their own businesses and gain financial independence.

To support this mission, on International Women’s Day (March 8th), the foundation distributed 105 sewing machines to women and girls, giving them the literal tools to build their own livelihood.

Your support reaches far beyond the classroom. Over the last few months, your contributions have helped fund:

Critical Healthcare: Successful heart surgery for a 7-year-old girl and kidney surgery for a local man.

Monthly Nutrition: Food kits (including 20kg of different flours, pulses, oils and spices) distributed to around 225 families every month.

Diwali Celebrations: 571 girls received new fancy dresses and warm winter jackets to celebrate the festival.

Lucy & Yak has never just been about clothing. For us it’s about building a kinder community and being a better business which is why we’re so proud to play a part in Fior Di Loto’s success.
