I LOVE the Zayla shirts and now have a complete collection with two basic colours and a graphic
I LOVE the Zayla shirts. They have a really great slouchy shape, but they are made from a nice, robust cotton, so they don't feel sloppy.
They have a really nice, wide ribbed section round the neckline too, which also makes them feel a bit more structured and very solid.
I now have three of these - black, cream, and this. That is enough now, but I loved the fit so much, I wanted two basics and then a more fun one (this one).
Also, I know there has been some talk of quality issues, but it felt worth getting multiple colours of this because the quality seems very promising.
I ended up being stuck somewhere for a month but only having packed clothes for three days, so I lived in the black one that I had bought towards the beginning of the year, wearing most days and rewashing more than a couple of times a week for the whole moth.
I have been wearing it at least a couple of times a week since, and it still looks new. I know that isn't that long, but I find that when fabric doesn't last well, issues with washing and wear tend to happen very quickly.
Because I have bloating issues, I tend to wear Alexa trousers a lot, as I need a stretchy waist. I can't really wear jeans anymore.
These are a great, cropped (but not too cropped) length to wear with Alexa (for info, I wear the XS and I'm 5'6". I generally wear size 8, and could size up to the S (8-10) but this still has a loose, slouchy fit on me sizing down. If you're on the smaller end of a size 8, it may be worth sizing…
