    The trousers are fine, but the quality is really pretty poor compared to pairs i bought a few years back. They used to be thick and almost heavy, now if you hold them up to the light you can see through 😅 its a shame considering the price increases too.

    So many changes :(

    these pants have been my favorite, go to pants for years. I can’t afford to restock them often so once every two years i buy myself two new pairs and alternate between them to try and make them last as long as possible. With my latest order i was shocked to see that both the fit and material have changed. The fabric is MUCH cheaper - when held up to the light these black pants are see through. The fabric is no longer soft, thick cotton. It is shiny, slick, and feels cheap. After one wear these were pilling on the inner thighs. They are also longer than they used to be - as someone who is 5ft4 i am right between petite and regular, and i tried ordering the petite version of these first. They are so short that they turned the pants in to capris that look terrible. So i ordered the regular, which is what i always used to order and fit me perfectly. Now they are an inch or two longer and aren’t as nice. Not to mention the fact that the stitching has changed and the little character that these pants had is now gone with no visible seams that gave the pants a more interesting texture and look. I want to like L&Y because of their stated ethics, but i am disappointed with how they are raising prices while dropping in quality.

    Go to pants!

    I bought these a while back and they’ve been my favourite pants since. They’re a very relaxed fit and are great for both around the house and heading out.
