Position: Customer Happiness Superstar & warehouse
Location: Lucy & Yak HQ & Warehouse, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Closing date: 31st October 2018
Salary: £19,500 per anumn

This role is very flexible. The job is split into two different weeks and is shared with another member of our family called Abby.
The job role:
Customer Happiness week; Replying to all customer questions via; email, instagram, facebook and twitter. Our customers are extremely important to us, we love them all so much, we don’t like to think of them as customers, they are part of our community. You will be their first point of contact, so it is important that you are friendly, kind and enthusiastic about helping them. It is a very rewarding job, because our customers are so nice, they send in some very lovely messages and comments. They share photos with us and love to tell us how they feel about their new Lucy & Yaks.
Warehouse week; You will be working on different departments, this could be anything from parcelling orders, helping Meri with Returns or unpacking new stock. We want everyone in our team to be flexible and be able to work on all departments. This also means your job changes from week to week, so it’s more fun for you.
Working days/hours:
Week 1: Customer Happiness; during this week you will work for 6 days, the days will be extremely flexible, You will only actually have to come into work on Wednesday for our weekly customer happiness meeting. This is because the hours we want the customers to be replied to is 8am to 8pm, Mon-Sat, so they can feel like long days if you come into work.
Sunday: off
Week 2: Helping in the warehouse; this is a week where you will be more involved in the day to day running of the warehouse. Jenna our manager will decide which department she needs you to work on each week. This will be a 4 day week, working Mon-Thurs 9am to 5pm
Fri, Sat, Sun: off
This schedule will not start until after training, this can be anything from 1-3 months, depending on how fast you learn. The training period will be Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm, in the office.
Creative side:
At Lucy & Yak we know everyone has a creative side, so we also all have an input in our social media content. We share an outfit of the day on insta, and each day a different team member will choose the outfit and wear it to do a boomerang or a photo, with the help of our content girls Anni, Heather & Beth.
We are also always looking for new ideas, and we encourage you to get involved in this. Some days you might also be working with the team to create some new content, depending on ideas and what help they need.
As you can see this job is very dynamic, you wont get bored thats for sure! We need someone that can adapt to different jobs quickly and someone that has their own initiative to do something without being asked and to come up with new ideas. We reward our favourite idea of the month every month too :)
What we need from you:
Past experience is not necessary. All we ask is that you are friendly and that you can work well alone, and that you will fit in with our family here at Lucy & Yak. We are a small friendly bunch, we will welcome you with open arms. It is also a must that you share our values, our customers will ask a lot of questions about sustainability and our ethics. We will of course provide training on this, but a desire and interest in this area is a must. Also you must be able to use social media and emails on an iphone and a Mac (these will be provided)
One last point; this job is very laid back, we don’t like to put pressure on our team, we expect them to work hard without too much of nudge from us. This is not for everyone, as it means there is less structure, we try to stick to plans, but me and Chris have never been great at that. Please bear this in mind, only apply if you think this is suited to you.
Travel: Please only apply if you can get to us for 9am each morning. We are looking for people as local as possible as we are not near the centre of town so getting to us can take ages if you are coming from Manchester or Leeds etc and travelling by public transport.
