Cole Wide Leg Denim Jeans - Organic Cotton in Pinstripe

Super quality & great fit. Nice weighty denim but not too stiff.

Love the pinstripe pattern as it smartens them up a bit - so they have become a work go-to for me. Pockets are nice and robust (which has not been the case on previous L&Y jeans). This New Fit is great, although they are really quite long (I'm 5'4 and they just touch the floor) so they are best worn with a chunkier shoe, though I have worn them with trainers with little issue.

Overall a really nice pair of jeans. The fabric is sturdy and holds shape, they get a bit looser with wear and I whn out of the wash they feel a bit tighter. However due to the elastic panels in the sides the fit stays nice and snug but you can still breath when sitting. As a plus size woman with a more prominent belly and bigger tighs the fit is really nice. The darts in front make and the thickness of the material make the fit fall nicely over your stomach instead of clinging to it. I am 167 cm and the regular just brush the floor when I walk, but I think the shorter verion might be just a tad to short.

I bought these in the Edinburgh store at the weekend despite telling myself I absolutely do not need more jeans I tried these on out of curiosity and they are so lovely I bought them! Also shout out to the Edinburgh store staff as they were lovely. They say Tate on the tag but are described as Cole online which is confusing. I have a couple of pairs of Cole’s and these are a bit wider and slightly longer. I am about a 31 waist and could have gone for the 30 but the 32 sits a bit lower and so gives me some extra length which I need as my inside leg is about 32/33inches. These remind me so much of the super wide 90s jeans ❤️ The only minor draw back I find with Coles and with whatever these are is that the super low crotch can rub a bit on your thighs as on my it sit right where my thighs touch and I have fairly slim legs so if I wear them for a day with a lot of walking it can chafe a little but once they soften with wear it’s fine. I’d also love it one day L&Y did a Cole/Tate in longer length so I could wear with a wider range of shoes. The subtle pinstripe makes them look more elevated so can definitely be dressed up a bit!
