Alfie - Cotton Shirt in Ecru Cosmic Folk

I unfortunately ripped it on my first wear but hoping I can repair

I know the whole point of these shirts is that they're a very boxy shape, but unfortunately, it's just not quite the right shape for my body type.

I'm a big fan of how L&Y makes a lot of cropped tops and high-waisted trousers and how they fit together.

It just so happens for me with Alfies that the boxy length is just slightly too long to be cropped, but not long enough to be tucked/French tucked into trousers and skirts (I'm 5'6", wear an S, and am quite evenly proportioned in terms of legs and torso to explain the proportions of the fit on me!).

For this fit reason, Alfies look absolutely gorgeous on most people. I just don't love them on me.

In terms of the colour of this specific shirt, I'm absolutely obsessed with the stunning navy combined with the florals.

Print is absolutely stunning. The floral with the navy is just really beautiful - which is no real surprise as L&Y KILLS when it comes to prints!

I would say the sizing is generous. I was closer to a 10-12 when I bought this. The S (which I bought) is designed for an 8-10 but had plenty of room even when closer to a twelve.

I would love to see this pribt revived!

I have always struggled to find shirts that I thought suited me - needless to say I no longer have that problem with these in my wardrobe. I find that the cropped, boxy fit really works for me as someone on the shorter side and I could gush about all the different colours and patterns forever. Can't recommend them enough!
